“Don’t make excuses” – Jasmin Harris

When it comes to fitness, restarting after a long period can be most difficult. Despite the numerous motivational content on Instagram and YouTube, it still feels like a cross to carry. But do you want to know the secret of becoming a healthier version of yourself? It’s simple, all you have to do is start. Yes, starting/restarting is the secret, followed by being consistent. “Make that first step and everything will align,” said fitness fanatic, Jasmin Harris in an interview.

From never missing the gym to an entire three-year hiatus, Jasmin finally found the will to get up and get going once again. “I was not myself anymore,” she expressed, “I felt sluggish.” After a few weeks in the gym, she discovered she had a medical issue which would be cured with diet and exercise. With this news, Jasmin was encouraged even more to continue her journey and stay committed.

Since this bold move, Jasmin has inspired countless women via her social media to make exercise a daily habit so they too can enjoy the astonishing transformation. “I love hearing ‘you’re doing well, you’re encouraging me. Because of you, I too began my journey,’” said the influencer.

On January 3, 2023, Jasmin celebrated her one-year gym anniversary as she continues to attract others to enjoy the benefits, as “…gym is a great [contributor] to both mental and physical health,” Jasmin shared. The heavy lifter loves a good deadlift, stacking more than 250lbs as her personal record. She also loves performing thrusters, hip thrust and experiencing a good sweat at her weekly step classes.

Worried about diet? That can be simple once you understand your goals and how to fuel your body. For Jasmin and other fitness enthusiasts, adequate protein for muscle repair and recovery is essential. Her diet may even help you to save a few dollars. She has oats and chia for breakfast, chicken and salad for lunch, tuna with bread for dinner.

Jasmin’s encouragement is: “Don’t make excuses [such as] too early; too late; too busy; don’t have fancy gym clothes; I don’t know what to do. Google is your best friend. Home or gym, get started now.”
