Miss Guyana Culture Queen Finalists officially sashed

Last evening, the Umana Yana was completely transformed to accommodate the immaculate production of the sashing of the Miss Guyana Guyana Culture Queen 2023 Finalists!

Incorporating a fashion extravaganza, launching two new collections from local designers, Randy Madray and Michelle Cole-Wagner of Colefacts, the attendees were treated to a preview of these designs, tied with the display of beauty, sass and confidence from the 10 finalists who modelled the collections.

While the pieces from the collections were stunning, the highlight of the evening was the entrance of the finalists in their Golden Arrowhead coloured pants suits, that stunned the audience.

The finalists strutted with grace and confidence, and for the first time, introduced themselves to public, as Finalists in the Miss Guyana Culture Queen Pageant. This was also a wow factor on the short programme, as the audience got to hear the brilliance of the diverse group of women who all expressed enthusiasm to cop the coveted title.

With an interesting, creative twist in selecting their delegate numbers, each Finalist chose a secured, boxed cookie (each having a number on it) and upon opening the boxes, their numbers were revealed.

At the end of the evening, the order was named:

These finalists were selected following an application process which ended on February 28. The queen will represent Guyana at the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen pageant to be held in St Kitts and Nevis in August. Madray acquired the franchise in 2019 and had selected Arian Dahlia Richmond to represent Guyana in the regional pageant. She secured the first runner-up spot and won several special prizes despite her short preparation time.

It is the hope of the team that with having this local competition, the queen will be better equipped to cop the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen title and the other years to come.

The 10 Finalists expressed much excitement for this opportunity and promised to but their all into the competition to unleash their best selves and put on an unforgettable show come June 24th!
