PanJam In De Village set for July 26th at Parc Rayne

with Joshua Regrello, Juke Ross, Carlvin Burnett, Nekeita and more

The sweet sounds of steel pan will once again fill the air at Parc Rayne this July, as PanJam returns for its seventh consecutive year with a theme that tugs at the heartstrings of every Guyanese. “PanJam In De Village,” slated for Saturday, July 26th, 2025, promises to transport patrons back to the golden era of village life, where communities gathered around music and cultural boundaries simply melted away.

For founder and creator Reon Miller, this year’s theme represents more than just nostalgia, it’s a return to the authentic Guyanese spirit that has always defined the nation’s multicultural identity. “This year’s theme isn’t just about nostalgia, it’s about rediscovering who we are as a people,” Miller explained. “The village concept resonates deeply with Guyana’s multicultural fabric. At a time when our nation is experiencing unprecedented growth and change, we need to remember these values that have always made us strong.”

The 2025 lineup reads like a who’s who of Caribbean entertainment, perfectly embodying the village spirit that PanJam aims to recreate. Regional sensation Joshua Regrello makes his highly anticipated return to the PanJam stage, bringing the signature style and energy that has made him a fan favourite. Adding international flair to the village atmosphere is the acclaimed Juke Ross, whose unique artistry promises to elevate the concert experience to new heights.

The incomparable Carlvin Burnett returns to join forces with Nekeita, creating a dynamic duo that has proven capable of transcending audience energy beyond expectations. The evening will also feature captivating performances from soloists Ray Sparman and Clayton Daniels, while saxophonists Roy Stewart and Jesse Schultz will add their distinctive musical flavours to the village celebration with a first of its kind saxophone clash!

However, the night’s most anticipated moment will undoubtedly be the epic steel band clash between two powerhouse orchestras: Ansa McAl Parkside Steel Orchestra and Pan Groove Steel Orchestra. This tune-for-tune battle promises to capture the authentic spirit of village music competitions, where entire communities would gather to witness musical greatness unfold. The showdown embodies the friendly competition that has always driven village pan yards to excellence, where respect and camaraderie triumph over rivalry.

Miller emphasized that PanJam 2025 is about more than just entertainment, it’s about recreating a complete cultural experience. The venue will be transformed to reflect authentic village life, incorporating traditional decorations and local cuisine to enhance the cultural atmosphere. Patrons are encouraged to embrace the village aesthetic by dressing in simple, authentic, and colourful attire that reflects the spirit of the theme.

The concert continues to enjoy strong support from partners who understand the importance of cultural preservation and community building. This year’s sponsors include the Guyana Tourism Authority, Potsalt, Massy Distribution, Absolut, IBGL Insurance Brokers, Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport, News Source, Gabriella The PR Girl, and Xperiences.

For those looking to be part of this cultural celebration, physical tickets are available at multiple Massy locations including Providence, MovieTowne, Montrose, Vreed-en-Hoop, Ruimveldt and Giftland, as well as IBGL on Carmichael Street and upstairs Oasis Café.
