I haven’t seen you since last year.
Do you have your resolutions ready?
Let me guess: you wanna lose 20 pounds, get filthy rich and find love. Oh darling, don’t we all. I wish you well in this chapter.
This year, I’m making a promise to show up for myself by recommitting to discipline. Discipline is the highest form of self-love; you love your future self so much that you’re willing to give up a little now to get a lot more later on. I’ll be the first to admit that I fell for the sweet appeal of treating yourself in 2023. But at the cost of what? My goals. And shocker – it wasn’t worth it.
The older the I get, the more I realize I can’t play with my potential. I like to think that I’m capable of a lot but the real question is for how long. How long will I have the springyness of youth? If I eat right and exercise, I can keep it up but all good things must come to an end. Just like 2023.
This year we’re standing on business.
We’re aligning with our truest selves. We’re diving deep and getting to the heart of things. We’re not playing with our potentials.
